Want something from Japan? Ask me.

Just a little bump for this thread.

Already have some requests from lovely WPWD members noted and in my "keep an eye out for" lists.

I will be going to fabric places, dolly places, Volks showrooms, toy hunting in Akiba, Harajuku and Nakano (my book has been updated with new stores!) for specific people so far.

Keep the requests coming, and I shall do my best to find what you're after. Makes my trip a bit like a treasure hunt game!

did you mention fabric places!!! :luv :luv now im interested lol.
do you happen to know if the prices on like the kawaii fabrics, and sewing twill tapes are much cheaper to buy direct rather than say etsy pricing?
I love all the twill tapes with the fairytale characters and babushkas and all that i may have to work something out with you?!!

No idea Im afraid. I don't generally buy fabrics from etsy.

Check the original post, and email or PM me. Links to particular shops or fabrics you like are always a good idea. Most fabrics are sold in fat quarters or meters over there, so that makes it fairly easy :)

With only a month to go, it's time to make sure you email me if you want anything from the land of the rising sun.

Please read the first post in this thread.

I have had many, many requests where the person wants me to do all the legwork and find the stores, look up addresses and find out where things are sold. I CANNOT DO THIS. I just don't have the time.

So far I am going to specific places for:
- Japanese Cottons and Prints
- Dolly Velcro and Buttons and Zips (probably Volks brand)
- Certain Blythes, new and second hand
- Certain dress outfits by Momolita, Azone and others
- ReMent and Megahouse
- BIC Camera and Yodabashi Camera Houses for specific electronics

It's a long list, but as I was going to most of these places anyway, it will be fun to help others try and get those hard to find items!

I'm basically only going to two places I wouldn't normally go, and I am there for an entire month, so plenty of time :) Spending a week travelling via Shinkansen though, down to Kyoto, Nara, Nagoya, Kawasaki, Hiroshima and more!
